On 19 May 2020, the Polish Dermatological Society in cooperation with L’Oreal organized a webinar entitled “Dermatologist’s practice today and after the COVID-19 pandemic”, during which a lecture on legal conditions connected with remote outpatient counseling was delivered by attorney Paweł Sowisło with the participation of attorney Anna Piotrowska-Musioł from the Department of Medical Law and Medical Entities Support. Thanks to the lecture, the participants of the webinar learned, among other things, how to properly document the provision of medical advice to patients by means of remote communication, how to determine the identity of the patient, whether they can record the course of the consultation, whether they can issue medical certificates of inability to work without direct contact with the patient, and also obtained information on the risks associated with providing e-consultations to patients who are using the services of the practice for the first time, and the civil and criminal liability associated with the provision of health services through telemedicine.
We would like to thank numerous participants of the webinar for their attention.
