On 10-11 September 2020, Hotel 500 in Tarnowo Podgórne hosted the 9th Wielkopolska IT Convention, which was attended mainly by IT employees serving public finance sector units. Our Law Firm was one of the partners of the event.
One of the speakers at the Convention was attorney Aleksandra Urbanowska-Bohun, who prepared a lecture entitled “Delivery and documentation of cases during the pandemic and remote working”. The subject of the lecture is extremely topical, because the amendments to the law of 2 March 2020 on specific solutions connected with the prevention, counteracting and combating of COVID-19, other infectious diseases and the crisis situations caused by them (i.e. the ones made on 31 March and 18 April) introduced provisions on remote working and the so-called hybrid deliveries, i.e. the possibility of delivering registered mail electronically on the basis of an authorisation granted to Poczta Polska in order to counteract COVID-19. Aleksandra Urbanowska-Bohun focused in this respect on presenting the current legal situation in general and on drawing conclusions from it as regards the obligations of the employer units, in which they must be supported by their IT services. The aim is to provide tools such as the eSkbox for receiving hybrid correspondence, the digitisation of documents to enable remote working, the adaptation of devices enabling remote working, and awareness of the legal risks associated with the use of private equipment by employees in remote working.
We would like to thank the organisers for their cooperation and the opportunity to take an active part in this event.
