On 24 November 2021, on the initiative of the Wiktor Dega Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences and the NeurOstArt Foundation, a scientific conference entitled. “Clinical trials – new opportunities for the development of medicine” was held.
The conference was opened by Przemysław Daroszewski, MD, PhD, Hospital Director, who welcomed the guests, among whom were the speakers – representatives of our Law Firm, attorney-at-law Anna Piotrowska-Musioł and attorney-at-law Joanna Zielińska.
Representatives of the world of science Rafał Staszewski, MD, PhD – General Director of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Member of the Scientific Council of the Medical Research Agency; Włodzimierz Samborski, MD, PhD – Deputy Director for Clinical Research of the Wiktor Dega Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences took part in the conference.
Attorneys-at-law Anna Piotrowska-Musioł and Joanna Zielińska from the Department of Medical Law and Services for Healthcare Entities, gave one of the lectures on medical experiments and clinical trials in the light of new legal regulations and the obligatory liability insurance of the entity conducting the medical experiment.
The conference, in the form of a webinar, consisted of three sessions, each designed to discuss issues connected with the organisation of clinical trials. In addition, attention was given to ethical aspects of clinical trials and compliance and adherence in clinical trials during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, among others.
The conference provided an opportunity to exchange views on the existing clinical trials regulations, the necessary scope of their changes, as well as their further development.
