SPZOZ MSWIA (Independent Public Health Care Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration ) investment project in Kielce – construction of a new hospital with the legal support of our Law Firm

Since September 2017, our Law Firm has been providing legal support to an investment project of the Independent Public Health Care Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Kielce with regard to the construction of a new Hospital.

The new Hospital will be functionally connected to the Hospital Emergency Ward, being prepared on the ground floor of the polyclinic located next door. The result will be a modern, interconnected facility where patients can receive comprehensive care, from primary care through to specialist treatment, inpatient care and post-hospital outpatient care. The new hospital building will accommodate 146 patient beds. The modern building will increase the range of patient care in the areas of orthopaedics and maxillofacial surgery, among others, as well as improving the quality of services provided.

The investment project consists of two principal components:

  1. construction of a new hospital building, including an operating block with hospital wards of the Independent Public Health Care Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Kielce at ul. Wojska Polskiego 5. Five usable storeys and a technical storey over part of the building have been designed,
  2. extension and reconstruction of the existing building of the Independent Public Health Care Institution if the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration Polyclinic with a connector and construction of a container transformer station, a garage for ambulances and a car park with at least 50 parking spaces.

The total value of the project is over PLN 88 million, including approximately PLN 85.8 million from the state budget.

Due to financing, the project was implemented in stages (it applies both to construction works and medical equipment installation). As part of the project, over a dozen contract award procedures were conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement Law.

Attorney Wojciech Piórkowski has been providing legal services for the project on behalf of the Law Firm for the entire period of its implementation.
