On 22 September 2021, representatives of the Department of Medical Law and Services to Healthcare Entities: Paulina Kozłowska, barrister, and Joanna Zielińska, attorney-at-law, took part in a conference entitled “Changes in Healthcare. Transformation of the system – quality and security”, organised on-line by Wolters Kluwer Polska.
The virtual event was attended by representatives of state authorities involved in the development and financing of the health care system in Poland, medical entities, health care managers, representatives of professional self-governments of doctors and dentists as well as nurses and midwives, the world of science and lawyers.
During the speeches and joint debates, the speakers touched upon the currently significant problems that the health care sector is struggling with, connected with the conduct of medical practice during the pandemic, the existing staffing and organisational problems, the needs and challenges that the Ministry of Health, the National Health Fund, but also the healthcare providers and patients are currently facing.
Participation in such events allows the lawyers of the Department of Medical Law and Services for Healthcare Providers to gain not only additional knowledge, but above all to obtain current information on the changes that are being introduced and planned in the area of health care. The statements presented during the conference are extremely useful in the day-to-day servicing of many public and private healthcare establishments.
