The nationwide daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita”, considered to be the leading opinion-forming medium in Poland, published on 3 April 2020 an article by attorney at law Wojciech Piórkowski, head of the Public Procurement Law practice in our Law Firm, entitled “Public contracts during an epidemic”. The article discusses in detail the exemption from the obligation to conduct public procurement procedures in competitive modes during an epidemic. The rationale for applying COVID-19 special act to contracts awarded by public entities is explained.
