Our lawyers comment on legal regulations in the LEGALIS legal service

For many months, and recently especially in terms of topics related to COVID-19 and the legal consequences of the state of the epidemic, our lawyers, i.e.: barrister Aneta Fornalik and attorney-at-law Aleksandra Urbanowska-Bohun comment on the law in the Legalis Legal Information Service. 

In the months of March and April 2020, the following publications appeared, the so-called “news”:

  • Contract performance and force majeure (COVID-19),
  • Changes in the functioning of local government bodies in connection with COVID-19,
  • Extension and termination of lease agreements in connection with coronavirus,
  • Civil law receivables of local government units and the State Treasury in connection with COVID-19,
  • The consequences of damage and crossing out of a bill of exchange,
  • Time limits in law and administrative procedure in connection with COVID-19,
  • Property tax and perpetual usufruct fee (reliefs in connection with COVID-19),
  • Epidemic emergency – legal basis,
  • Guardian in the proceedings to declare the acquisition of the inheritance and guardian for an absent person,
  • Specific recovery costs as costs of recovery of receivables in commercial transactions – rationale of the resolution of the Supreme Court,
  • Contractual penalty on withdrawal from a contract – rationale of the resolution of the Supreme Court,
  • Return of the bank’s commission on early repayment of a loan,
  • The labour court decides on the claims of an employee under Article 415 of the Civil Code.
